A couple weeks ago I had a wonderful session with Annabelle, a senior at Sacred Heart Greenwich and a friend of my daughter.  I was looking forward to photographing Annabelle.  I have known Annabelle since she was small and have seen firsthand how she shines in front of the camera.  Just look at her smile!

We planned our session for the late afternoon to catch the golden sunlight at the end of the day.  October is one of my most favorite times of the year for sessions because the colors and the sunlight are unmatched in their beauty.  Honestly the light sometimes seems magical to me.  We lucked out in terms of a perfect fall afternoon.

We began our session taking a few family shots with Annabelle’s parents Greg and Christa, also friends of mine.  The three of them made quite a handsome trio in the warm afternoon sunlight.  

Annabelle and I spent most of the session by a field not far from my own home.  I have used this location to take countless photos of my own children so I had many ideas swirling in my head prior to the session.  Annabelle was an absolute joy to photograph.  She picked perfect fall outfits and was up for all my ideas.   Her flannel shirt and jeans worked perfectly with our rustic setting. 

Annabelle is on the varsity volleyball team at Sacred Heart so our session would not be complete without a few fun volleyball images.  I won’t say how many takes it took me to capture the ball in midair and get it in the frame! 

The October sun did not disappoint.   I just love how the backlight looks in this image of Annabelle.

Annabelle is one of those seniors who exudes positivity.  I just know that good things are in store for this talented senior with a million-dollar smile.  I cannot wait to hear!
