Six Great Locations for Senior Photos - Greenwich Connecticut
The question I get asked the most by clients is WHERE to schedule their senior’s session. Greenwich is a beautiful town and lends itself to some wonderful places to choose from when deciding where to have your senior session. Here are some of my favorite spots.
Tod’s Point
How lucky are we to have a beautiful beach right in our town? Ideally, I schedule beach sessions in the late afternoon or evening to catch not only golden hour but even blue hour. The variety of images that can be achieved in this one location with the setting sun is exceptional. Todd’s Point never disappoints.
Binney Park
Another spot that offers wonderful variation. The water, bridges and paths all set off by beautiful trees and green grass lend themselves to some great shots. I especially love to visit Binney in the fall. The foliage is fabulous.
Old Greenwich - Town Center
Some seniors are looking for a slightly more urban feel. While of course Greenwich Avenue is an option, I find that Old Greenwich’s town center is more manageable and less crowded. When possible, I include a short walk to the train tracks for some really interesting shots.
Cos Cob Park
This park should not be overlooked! The views of the Sound are beautiful and there are benches and paths that make it easy to get variation. It is centrally located with ample parking. Once you get past the soccer fields and playground the park offers some stunning spots for images.
Your School
Some seniors like to hold their sessions on the campus of their high schools. I think it is a great idea especially if a senior wants to include a field image from their high school sport or perhaps a shot or two inside the school theater. I always make sure we have permission for a session on campus but have not run into any issues yet.
Your Home
It is always a good idea to have a session at one’s home. Seniors feel most comfortable on their home turf and outfit changes are easy! I am a pro at finding ways to get a variety of looks in even the smallest of yards. I also can take some shots inside one’s home if that is something a senior would enjoy. It is also easy to get those pets in the photos when the session is at home!
These are just some of my favorite ideas for a senior session. I am always open to suggestions and the options are nearly endless! And remember some of packages include more than one location for your senior session!
